Khata number & khatedar
The register opens on the khata (holding) number and the holder's recorded name — the identity every village revenue entry refers back to.
Land Intelligence & Cadastral Portal
When one family's land spans several survey numbers, the 7/12 is the wrong record — you need the 8A utara: one register line per khatedar, listing every parcel their khata covers. Search it here by khata number or by the holder's name, live from the Mahabhulekh portal, free and without signing in.
One khata, one register: the 8A aggregates a holder's land across the whole village, exactly as the Talathi maintains it.
The register opens on the khata (holding) number and the holder's recorded name — the identity every village revenue entry refers back to.
All survey/gat numbers held under that khata with their areas, so a scattered family holding is visible as one picture — not pieced together from several 7/12s.
Assessment and cultivation details as maintained in the village form-8 register: the baseline numbers mutated against, year after year.
Every survey number in the 8A links to its own 7/12 lookup: from "who owns what" to "what is recorded on that parcel" in one click.
Switch the document selector from 7/12 to 8A and pick district → taluka → village from the same live lists Mahabhulekh serves.
Enter the khata number (खाते क्रमांक) — or search by the holder's name: first name, middle name, surname or the full name, exactly as the portal records it.
Solve the captcha, and the 8A utara opens as the portal renders it. Cross-reference any listed survey number in the 7/12 tool right away.
The 8A lookup talks to Mahabhulekh (bhulekh.mahabhumi.gov.in) — the Government of Maharashtra's land-records portal — in real time, with the portal's own captcha and pacing; responses are cached only briefly. Name spelling matters: search the name exactly as it appears in the revenue record (Devanagari). For certified copies of any extract, apply through Mahabhulekh or the Talathi office; what is shown here is a reference view.
The 8A utara is the holding (khata) record maintained under the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code. While the 7/12 describes one survey number, the 8A describes one holder's whole holding: every survey/gat number that khata covers, with areas and assessment, village by village.
Open the 7/12 Extract tool, switch the document type to 8A, then pick district, taluka and village. Search by khata number (खाते क्रमांक) or by owner name (first, middle, last or full name), solve the captcha and the record opens live from Mahabhulekh.
Yes — on Trace My Land and on Mahabhulekh itself the lookup is free. Name search reads the official portal in real time; nothing is stored as a private database.
The 7/12 (satbara) is the record of rights for one survey number: ownership, crops, mutations. The 8A is the khata-level register: it aggregates all parcels a khatedar holds in the village, so it is the right record when a family holding spans several survey numbers.
The portal renders the record for viewing and printing from the browser. For a certified copy, apply on Mahabhulekh or at the Talathi office — the printout here is a reference extract, not a certified document.
